This design and construct project has been 4 years in the making and included refurbishment of the existing 136-room residential aged care facility, 21 new resident rooms, brand new staff quarters, expansive courtyards and convenient amenities such as a hair salon, refurbishment of numerous lounges, activity rooms, dining areas, serveries, tea preparation areas and nurse stations. This has provided more efficient, open, light and bright living and workspaces for the residents and staff.  Thank you to Brian Wootton, Kael Lee-Jones and Len Paparella for seeing this project through to completion.

Northerly Managing Director, Michael Lawson and the team, attended the opening on Friday 10th September. The revamped facility was opened by the Hon Andrew Hastie MP, Assistant Minister of Defence while local Noongar leader, Jonathan Ford, conducted a smoking ceremony and a very moving Welcome to Country. The Smoking Ceremony, a recognition of starting ‘afresh’ acknowledges past and future Elders and community members and recognises the importance of meeting.  During the project Northerly collaborated with key stakeholders Silver Thomas Hanley, From Left Field and the City of Mandurah. Karri House is a project that Northerly Group Australia, as builder, are very proud to have been part of.
