JSR Multipurpose Hall
JSR Multipurpose Hall

The construction of a new Multipurpose Hall and year 7 Block upgrade marks a major improvement to the junior facilities and Year 7 school development. This BER funded project is a testimony to high end construction. This project is the second contract to be awarded to Northerly at this school. It is comprised of one construction element, one construction and refurbishment element, and one refurbishment only element.

This three stage project was completed over a 32 week period and ties in closely with the design of the previously completed Middle School redevelopment. The multipurpose hall has a floor area of 1232m2, a maximum structure height of 9.2m and an approximate average volume of 5000m3. The impressive architectural design was provided by Taylor Robinson and structural engineering provided by Pritchard Francis. The multipurpose hall includes a new canteen, male and female toilets, change room facilities, and includes a timber sprung multi use basket ball court. The Year 7 block comprises the conversion of the existing staffroom into one extra classroom and the extension to the existing building to provide a fresh new staffroom.
