Northerly was engaged to design and construct a new transitional care facility for Amana Living at its existing site in Bullcreek.

The existing facility which caters for dementia specific residents was not able to be fully utilised given the age and the functionality of the Western wing of the facility which fronted the Lefroy Complex.  Together with Amana Living, Northerly undertook the planning, design and redevelopment of the facility. Careful planning was required with the isolation of services at the start of the project as well as the full integration of all new services at the commissioning phase of the new facility.  This included a new site main switchboard and the reticulation of power to all existing sub-boards, a new fire system including pumps and tanks, integration of the existing nurse call system and a new MATV and CCTV system for the complex.

Paramount to all this work was patient (resident) safety and comfort. This was achieved by daily consultation and planning with Amana Living staff on site.

The finished facility now operates as one with the new and old seamlessly integrated.  It provides residents, families and staff a contemporary and inviting environment that allows everyone who visits or stays to feel very comfortable and relaxed.
